Blogger Categories Redux
Stumbled across yet another way to compensate for Blogger's annoying lack of categories functionality. This topic has been well covered here in the past, but in the interests of thoroughness, check out David Nicholson's Blogger categories hack. Me, I'm happy with my Labelr solution.

There is one very nice solution now. It's Blogger beta. I've been using it for a month or so now and am very happy with beta. They've just added category (they call them labels, same as for Gmail) editing into the dashboard, which would have been nicer if they'd done that when I was adding categories or labels to my old posts, but never mind. It's there now. :)
Hi,
This comment is regarding a previous post titled Build a Three-Column Blogger Template. (I wasn't sure whether you read comments so decided to post one here. Hope you don't mind)
Its a nice a easy way to have 3 columns in blogger. I was just about to switch to it when I noticed something piculiar.
When I tried testing, this works fine if the browser is maximized. However, If the minimize the page a bit the right side panel sinks to the bottom. First I thought it I had done something wrong. Then I checked it with your blog too. Same result.
I was just wondering whether you noticed it before :-0) Do you have any idea why its happening ?
thank you

I'm not sure who you're asking about minimizing a 3-col template, Sham, but I've never noticed it. It might have to do with your monitor (I rarely minimize browsers even an itty bit; I prefer them full page) and the resolution. You could fiddle with the widths of the columns to see if that helps.

Hi Sham. The problem you're describing is caused by IE's poor implementation of the CSS box model. Font size can affect it too. There are some fixes discussed here.
Shelly, I'm glad to hear you're happy with Blogger beta. I've been considering making the switch for some time now. I'm hesitant because of all the work I'd have to do re-categorizing posts.
